According to official data published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), the annual inflation in Turkey decreased to 30.89% in December 2025, compared to 31.07% in November, exceeding analysts' estimates which anticipated a rate of 31%. Monthly inflation slightly increased to 0.89%, compared to the forecast of 0.98% from a Reuters survey.
The largest annual price increases were recorded in the education sector, at 66.27%, and in the housing sector, at 49.45%. Additionally, the domestic producer price index increased by 0.75% compared to the previous month, resulting in an annual increase of 27.67%.
