Andrii Iermak, the former chief of staff of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, rejected the corruption allegations against him, calling them "unfounded" at the end of a hearing that took place on Tuesday.

Andrii Iermak, who was Zelensky's senior advisor from 2020 until the end of last year, resigned in November last year after a search conducted by anti-corruption agents. He stated on Telegram that the notification of suspicion is unfounded and emphasized that, as a lawyer with over 30 years of experience, he will continue to defend his rights and reputation.

Prosecutors suspect Iermak of belonging to an organized crime group that allegedly laundered approximately 460 million hryvnias through a luxury real estate project. Iermak claimed that he owns only an apartment and a car. During the hearing, the head of the Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Agency stated that they have sufficient evidence to support the allegations in court.
