The Italian mafia is trying to acquire drones and military-type ammunition similar to those used in the war in Ukraine, warned the chief prosecutor of Palermo, Maurizio de Lucia, before the anti-mafia parliamentary committee. He stated that authorities have indications regarding the interest of organized crime groups in sophisticated weaponry that has reached the black market as a result of the conflict in Ukraine, emphasizing that the goal is to rebuild a high-quality arsenal in Palermo and in other regions of Italy.
