Ukraine and the USA have revised the peace agreement with Russia, announces Volodymyr Zelensky

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that negotiations with the USA for a framework peace agreement with Russia have recently been revised in Florida, based on a previous document discussed in Geneva. Zelensky emphasized the importance of involving European countries in the negotiation process, mentioning that Ukrainian diplomats are actively collaborating with international partners. A major issue in the negotiations is the settlement of disputed territories, which Zelensky described as the most difficult.

Security guarantees and funding for Ukraine's post-war reconstruction were also discussed, aspects that Zelensky wishes to address directly with American President Donald Trump. The initial plan of the USA was criticized by Ukraine and its European supporters, especially for the request to cede Donbas. Zelensky called for a fair solution that would also satisfy European interests regarding reconstruction. Negotiations continue, and Zelensky stated that, due to the efforts of his team, the plan has been improved.
