An alert was triggered in Germany after two men found a vial labeled 'Polonium 2010' during an Easter egg hunt near Stuttgart. Specialists from the Ministry of the Environment will open and examine the vial on Tuesday to determine if it contains polonium, a potentially deadly chemical substance. The director of the fire department, Andy Dorroch, mentioned that initial measurements taken at the scene did not detect radioactivity, and the two men who found the vial were not affected. The discovery led to a major emergency response involving firefighters and police from the town of Vaihingen an der Enz. Polonium-210 is extremely dangerous if inhaled or absorbed through the skin, and the incident has sparked memories related to the assassination of Alexander Litvinenko, a Kremlin critic who died in 2006 from poisoning with this substance. The ministry will analyze the vial and carry out decontamination if necessary.
