Aleksandr Dugin, an influential Russian ideologist, stated that Russia is facing an alarming demographic decline and a nuclear danger, making the relocation of large cities necessary. In an interview for News.ru, Dugin emphasized that drastic measures are essential, proposing the massive relocation of large cities, as property owners tend to have more children.

He suggested that, instead of megalopolises, people should move to the countryside to live more peacefully. Dugin mentioned that, in the event of implementing this program, cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg would disappear, and high-rise buildings could be transformed into farms for bitcoin mining.

The ideologist argued that dispersing the population would reduce risks in the event of a nuclear war, stating that Russia has enough land to allow for the relocation of the population from cities. He criticized the Russian authorities for their lack of decisive action in the face of current challenges.
