Albania aims to integrate artificial intelligence into the administration, with the aim of reducing corruption and streamlining government processes. Prime Minister Edi Rama has even suggested the creation of an AI-led ministry, which could transform the way government is run. Currently, IA is being used to manage public procurement and in the EU accession negotiation process. While there are optimistic views about the effectiveness of IA, the opposition is calling for transparency and structural reforms to avoid perpetuating dysfunction. The government's goal is to finalize EU accession negotiations by 2030 with the help of technology.
