The Russian Ministry of Transport announced the suspension of operations at 13 airports in the south of the country, following a drone attack on the office building of the Southern Russia Aeronavigatsiya branch in Rostov-on-Don. Authorities specified that operations at the regional center have been temporarily adjusted due to attacks by Ukrainian UAVs.
The ministry mentioned that an analysis of the operational capacity of the equipment is underway and that flight schedules are being adjusted in collaboration with aviation transport agencies. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, confirmed the attack, calling it "long-range sanctions," emphasizing the escalation of the conflict. Additional information about the operation of the airports will be updated at 11:00 AM Moscow time.
