Adolf Hitler Uunona, a local councilor from Namibia, is set to win a new term in the local elections scheduled for November 26. Going viral in 2020, he previously won the Ompundja constituency with 85% of the votes. Despite his controversial name, Hitler has stated that he has no connection to Nazi ideology and that his name is "normal."

Namibia, a former German colony, retains many German names, and Hitler explained that his father named him without understanding the historical significance. Although he often uses the name Adolf Uunona, he stated that it is "too late" to change his name on official documents. His party, Swapo, has been in power since 1990, following independence from South African apartheid.
