A horrifying tragedy occurred in Malaysia, where a two-year-old child, Vladimir 'Vova' Yakubanets, died after being stung by a Cubozoa jellyfish, one of the most venomous marine species. The incident took place on Chengang beach on Langkawi island, shortly after the family's arrival from Khabarovsk, Russia.
After the sting, the child's condition deteriorated rapidly, and the parents tried to provide first aid. Although they were transported to the hospital, the boy died due to complications caused by the jellyfish's venom. The parents do not intend to take anyone to court but wish for Vladimir's death to serve as a warning to other tourists. Malaysian authorities have reaffirmed the danger of the box jellyfish and have intensified safety measures for tourists.
