This morning, a six-story building in Istanbul collapsed, and seven people, part of two families, are reported missing. The incident occurred around 07:00, and initial information suggests that the collapse may be related to a recent earthquake of 6.1 on the Richter scale, which affected western Turkey. Construction work for a subway line was taking place near the building, which could be a factor in this tragic incident. Rescuers are currently engaged in search operations for people under the rubble, but it is not known if the victims were in the building at the time of the collapse.
