The Coast Guard reported the disappearance of a 76-year-old passenger from a ship operated by Tui, while it was heading to La Gomera, one of the Canary Islands. The incident occurred on Thursday morning, and the company Marella Cruises confirmed that the guest was seen falling into the water. The emergency call was made at 9:48, when the ship was 16.5 nautical miles northwest of Punta de Teno, Tenerife. Tui expressed sadness over the incident and assured that it is supporting the passenger's family, collaborating with local authorities to manage the situation. The company emphasized that it will continue to provide all necessary support during these difficult times.
