The artist 50 Cent, known for his hits during the glory days of rap, reacted vehemently to the proposal of New York Mayor, Zohran Mamdani, to introduce a 2% tax on annual incomes over one million dollars. This measure would affect approximately 34,000 residents and could bring four billion dollars to the municipal budget.

Dissatisfied with the tax policy, 50 Cent announced on social media that he would move to Florida, where taxes are lower, posting a symbolic message about the disappearance of New York. Criticism of the rapper came from fans, who accused him of hypocrisy considering his modest origins. Although his wealth has significantly decreased, 50 Cent continues to support Republican candidates and adopt an extravagant lifestyle.
