A survey conducted between September 30 and October 10 revealed that 26% of Florida residents are seriously considering leaving the state due to the cost of living, while 23.6% view this option. Eric Levy, deputy director of the FAU business and economic survey initiative, emphasized that although Florida attracts new residents, many current inhabitants feel pressured. Almost 90% of respondents are concerned about inflation, and 80% about housing affordability. Additionally, 43% of residents live "paycheck to paycheck," and 43% cite the high cost of living as the main reason for lacking savings.
