The police in Rome arrested 11 young people on Tuesday, five of whom are minors, accused of kidnapping and torturing several victims in a garage in the Massimina neighborhood. The young people are accused of acts of cruelty, including pouring boiling water on the victims. Among the arrested, six adults have been placed in provisional detention, while two minors have been sent to a juvenile delinquency center, and three to a foster home.
All are Italian citizens residing in Rome and are charged with torture, kidnapping, attempted extortion, and illegal possession of explosives. The investigation began after a drug possession arrest in March 2025, which led to the discovery of cases of torture and kidnapping from January. The victims were tied up, blinded, and subjected to repeated acts of violence.
