The Turkish medical group Medicana, known for its 19 multidisciplinary hospitals in Turkey and Europe, is expanding its operations in Romania by opening a representative office, led by Ana Herkmen. She stated that taking over the leadership of Medicana in Romania represents not only a professional change but also a personal mission, considering the group's plans to open a hospital in Bucharest by 2028.

Medicana treats over 5 million patients annually, including 500,000 international patients, and offers services in specialties such as oncology, cardiology, neuroscience, and robotic surgery. Until the inauguration of the hospital in Bucharest, Medicana will manage Romanian cases in its facilities in Turkey, facilitating patients' access to quality treatments. The group, established in 1992, is committed to gradually increasing its presence in the Romanian market and developing medical and educational programs.
