Alexandru Rogobete, the Minister of Health, announced the launch of a new training and continuous evaluation program for medical staff in intensive care units (ICU), funded by the PNRR. This program, titled the National Training of Trainers Program, is not a control program, but a real support for nurses. Rogobete emphasizes the importance of ICU teams, who make vital decisions under pressure, and announced concrete measures for controlling nosocomial infections, including the introduction of an epidemiologist in the structure of ICU units.
The minister highlighted that the program will build a national network of nurses who will become trainers for their colleagues, promoting a culture of support and collaboration within teams. Patient safety, according to Rogobete, depends on the cohesion of teams, not just on documentation. The program is developed in collaboration with the Romanian Society of Anesthesia and Intensive Care and the Order of Nurses, aiming to strengthen teamwork in ICU units.
