Appendiceal cancer, a rare condition, is becoming increasingly common among young people aged between 30 and 40, according to a study in the Annals of Internal Medicine. Although the total number of cases is still small, the incidence has increased three to four times among those born after 1970. Almost a quarter of cases now occur in adults under 50, and vague symptoms complicate early diagnosis. The medical community remains perplexed in the face of this trend.
