The National Institute of Public Health has reported over 500 new cases of measles in the last week, as well as two deaths.

In the period 01.01.2023 - 07.07.2024, 20,538 confirmed cases of measles were notified in Romania, including 21 deaths. More than 2,000 cases were reported in Brasov county, 1,746 in the capital, and more than a thousand cases in Mures, Argeș and Prahova counties.
