According to a survey conducted by the World Health Organization, one third of doctors and nurses in Europe are facing depression or anxiety, with the rate being five times higher than that of the general population. Intimidation and violence in the workplace affect one third of respondents, with the most severe issues reported in Cyprus, Greece, and Spain. WHO Director Hans Kluge emphasizes that this mental health crisis threatens the integrity of health systems and proposes measures such as zero tolerance for violence and access to mental health services.
