A patient hospitalized at the Arad County Emergency Clinical Hospital (SCJU) has been confirmed with hantavirus, after the PCR test came back positive. The man, who has been hospitalized since May 8, presented with a fever, but has not traveled for business in the last three years. Sources from the hospital stated that his condition is good and stable, and he is being treated in the infectious diseases department. Specialists are working to determine the strain of the virus. The case raises questions about the source of the infection, given that the patient has not recently traveled to affected areas. Authorities are monitoring the situation to prevent any potential spread of the virus.
