The Brașov County Emergency Hospital is in a critical situation due to a severe staff crisis, after five radiologists resigned in the last two weeks, mostly due to the high workload. At the Emergency Reception Unit, there is only one radiologist left, who has to manage a daily flow of 150-200 patients. The nurses in the unit report immense pressure on the staff, who are facing an excessive number of CT scans. Patients are also feeling the effects of this crisis, expressing their fears regarding the lack of doctors. The hospital management cannot organize hiring due to legislative restrictions, and the proposed solution is the transfer of doctors from other hospitals. The crisis is also extending to the radiology laboratory, where another doctor has resigned. The hospital has a short reprieve, as the resigning doctors are still in their notice period.
