A 79-year-old woman has died of influenza AH1 in Olt county, the fifth influenza death this cold season.

The woman, unvaccinated against influenza and with pre-existing medical conditions, was one of 116 flu patients reported in the previous week in the county. Since the beginning of the cold season, 1,258 cases of influenza have been confirmed in Olt county, including five deaths caused by the AH1 virus. DSP Olt recommends stepping up preventive measures to limit the spread of the virus.
