A PNL minister, a UDMR minister and a USR minister top the ranking of government members’ visibility over the past week, according to NewsVibe data. The ranking of government members by visibility in the online conversation over the past week is led by interim Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare (PNL), whose exposure was driven mainly by his participation, alongside President Nicușor Dan, in meetings with institutional investors in New York, including at JP Morgan, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. In his remarks, Nazare emphasized the need to regain the confidence of external financiers, reduce the budget deficit and borrowing costs, maintain investment and European funds, as well as investors’ concern that Romania still does not have an invested government.

Second in the ranking of government members by visibility in the online conversation during September 17–23 was Tánczos Barna (UDMR), deputy prime minister and interim Agriculture Minister. His visibility was driven primarily by the crisis in the sheep and goat sector and the breeders’ protest outside the Government, organized amid the blockage of live-animal exports and dissatisfaction with support for farmers. In this context, the minister took part in discussions with representatives of breeders, ANSVSA and members of the Chamber of Deputies’ Agriculture Committee about vaccination and the resumption of exports; he estimated that access to foreign markets could resume within one or two months, after the European ban in force until December 31 is amended, although he did not indicate a firm date. Other associated topics included the fact that Romania lost first place in the EU in live-animal exports after deliveries were halted, APIA payments, which reached 99% for the 2025 campaign, the addition of more than 149 million lei to the scheme reducing the excise duty on diesel used in agriculture, support for drought-affected crops and the prospect of a fertilizer subsidy.

In third place is Radu Miruță (USR), interim Minister of Transport and Defense, whose visibility increased over the past week through statements on infrastructure, military mobility and the political situation. He supported the implementation, starting October 1, of the new road-pricing system, which would eliminate the bridge tolls at Fetești and Vadu Oii, link the road vignette to the pollution standard and introduce the TollRo system for carriers using vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, rejecting CNAIR’s request to postpone the project. At the meeting of European transport ministers in Ireland, Miruță also called for a mechanism to prioritize EU funding for infrastructure useful to military mobility and warned that rejecting a USR-PNL-UDMR government could lead either to early elections or to a PSD-AUR executive.
Culture Minister András Demeter (UDMR) ranks last, with a limited presence in online debates.
By comparison, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, who is not included in the analysis, recorded more than 6,028 mentions, marking a presence in the online conversation clearly greater than that of all the other government members combined.
