This week, informat.ro returns with a series of events you can participate in Bucharest, from outdoor activities to art and shows.


Europe Day in Cișmigiu Park – May 9, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Cișmigiu Park (Public transport: Bus 122, 137, 336, M2 Universitate)

European gastronomic and cultural fair. An annual event organized by the European Commission Representation, where each member country presents its traditions, music, and gastronomy.


World Migratory Bird Day in Văcărești Delta – May 9, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Văcărești Natural Park (Public transport: M1 Piața Sudului, Bus 223)

Guided birdwatching tour. A special edition dedicated to monitoring the birds returning to the delta in May. Rangers provide binoculars and explanations about migration routes and habitat conservation.


Book launch and debate: "Urban Ecology in the Future" – May 12, 7:00 PM, Humanitas Library in Cișmigiu (Public transport: Bus 137, 336, M2 Universitate)

Cultural dialogue and volume launch. Presentation of a work dedicated to green spaces in major European metropolises. The event brings together urbanists and ecologists for an open debate with the public about the future of Bucharest's parks.


International Family Day at the Village Museum – May 15, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, "Dimitrie Gusti" National Village Museum (Public transport: M2 Aviatorilor, Bus 331, 205)

The event is part of the 90th anniversary celebration (May 10-17). Entrance is free all week, and the complete program, with more activities, can be seen here. According to the official announcement, only on Monday is free entry, but during the rest of the period, students can benefit from a reduced ticket price.


Vinyl Fair Paradis Paradis #2 – May 10, 12:00 PM, Str. Sfântul Ștefan 7 (Public transport: Bus 605, Tram 5, 16 - Sf. Ștefan Station)

Record fair and collective listening. A special edition dedicated to collectors and analog sound enthusiasts, where you can find rare vinyls, new editorial releases, or checked second-hand pieces. The event is designed as a relaxed social space, with background music provided by local DJs, being an excellent opportunity for experience exchanges among music lovers.


Film Club Menu: The Celebration (Festen) – May 14, 7:00 PM, UNATC, Cinema Hall, Str. Matei Voievod 75-77 (Public transport: M1 Iancului, Bus 311, Trolleybus 70, 86)

Film screening and cinematic debate. Viewing of the masterpiece directed by Thomas Vinterberg, followed by a moderated critical discussion by students from the Film Faculty. The film club proposes an analysis of the Dogme 95 aesthetics and the social impact of the film, in an interactive format that encourages dialogue between the audience and young specialists.


Masterclass Edition 6 – May 13-14, 11:00 AM, Fabrica, Str. 11 Iunie 50 (Public transport: Tram 1, 7, 23, 47 - Carol Park Station)

Creative workshops in craftsmanship and design. A community "one-off" event where participants can attend demonstrations of carpentry, metal processing, or handmade object design. Emphasis is placed on knowledge transfer between generations and building a network of local creators who use sustainable resources. AmTeatru – Free Tour – May 10, 11:00 AM, Meeting Point: Charles de Gaulle Statue (Public transport: M2 Aviatorilor, Bus 301, 331)

Guided walking tour through the history of Bucharest theater. The route explores the symbolic buildings in the northern area of the capital and the lesser-known stories of the great actors who marked the Romanian stage. The tour is a civic initiative aimed at bringing the public closer to the city's intangible heritage in a relaxed and informative way.


FlowArts and Fire at the Amphitheater | 77 Open Season Part 5 – May 9, 7:00 PM, Amphitheater in Tineretului Park (Public transport: M2 Tineretului, M2 Constantin Brâncoveanu)

Fire juggling and flow arts show. A meeting of street artists and creative movement enthusiasts, marking the official opening of the outdoor training season. The event includes poi, staff, and hula-hoop demonstrations, being open for socializing and experimentation for anyone who wants to learn the basics of juggling.
