The European Commission has announced the launch of the Youth4Regions 2026 program, an initiative dedicated to training young journalists interested in cohesion policy and communication on European issues.

This anniversary edition, reaching its tenth, offers an intensive training week in Brussels, from October 10 to 16, 2026, for students and novice journalists from EU member states, neighboring countries, and candidate states. Participants will benefit from training by experts, practical experience in newsrooms, and access to the institutions of the European Union. Youth4Regions accepts works in four formats: written article, video journalism, audio journalism, and photojournalism, facilitating the development of journalistic skills.

The deadline for registration is July 7, 2026, and applications are submitted on the official program platform.

Since its inception in 2017, the program has supported over 300 young reporters. The 2026 edition also includes the competition for the Megalizzi - Niedzielski Award, which will reward journalistic excellence, and the winners will become correspondents for cohesion 2027, participating in a field mission to document projects funded through cohesion policy.
