Siegfried Mureșan, PNL MEP, stated that PSD threatens Romania's country rating, emphasizing that Fitch agency does not trust that the social democrats will continue the reforms of the Bolojan Government after taking over the prime minister's position. Mureșan explained that Romania's BBB- rating was maintained due to government measures, but the risks of fiscal consolidation until 2027 are concerning due to PSD's attacks on budgetary reforms. He emphasized that these attacks affect PSD's credibility at the European level and can discourage investors. Mureșan accused PSD of presenting itself as pro-European only as part of a marketing strategy, without respecting European values, and called on the party to stop misleading the public with false statements. He compared PSD's actions to those of AUR, emphasizing that, in the long run, voters cannot be deceived by marketing strategies.
