At a round table during the Munich Security Conference, Kaja Kallas, head of European diplomacy, stated that the international order is facing a crisis of responsibility, emphasizing that although the United Nations Charter is signed by the majority of countries, the application of its principles is ineffective. Kallas criticized the functioning of the Security Council and pointed out that the UN does not reflect the current realities of the world. She highlighted that many nations desire a rules-based order to regulate international interactions. Kallas also mentioned that international crises have led to the development of international law and that the current situation represents an opportunity for progress. In this context, she emphasized that the absence of a rules-based world order leads to tyranny and wars.
