The Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests (MMAP) and the Administration of the Environmental Fund (AFM) have developed several scenarios for projects that will be proposed to the Ministry of Finance, with the aim of obtaining funding from the AFM budget. Minister Diana Buzoianu announced that the meeting with the Ministry of Finance will take place next week, and a response could come in 2-3 weeks.

MMAP is considering projects such as the Rabla program and initiatives for battery storage, essential to support the development of renewable energy. Buzoianu emphasized the importance of unblocking payments for hundreds of projects affected by their transfer from PNRR to AFM, which have stalled due to lack of funding. She also mentioned the urgent need to implement a funding program for battery storage systems, considering the increase in the number of photovoltaic panels and the pressure on the national grid. The guarantee of the continuation of the Rabla program will depend on the approval of the budget by the Ministry of Finance.
