The Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests, Diana Buzoianu, convened the ministerial committee for emergency situations (CMSU) on Wednesday due to severe weather warnings issued by the National Meteorological Administration, indicating extreme temperatures, storms, and torrential rains.
State Secretary Raul Pop emphasized that all necessary mechanisms have been activated for monitoring and coordinating the interventions of subordinate institutions. Citizens are advised to avoid exposure to risks, especially in areas affected by warnings. Additionally, local authorities are guided to act according to regulations for managing emergency situations. The weather warnings predict atmospheric instability, with torrential rains and strong wind gusts, and INHGA has issued hydrological warnings for possible floods.
The measures taken include continuous monitoring of weather phenomena and informing the population about the evolution of warnings. The Ministry recommends that citizens follow the authorities' guidelines to prevent risk situations.
