Romania will experience a significant change in the thermal regime on April 27, 2026, with low temperatures below specific norms. Meteorologists warn that, especially during the night, temperatures will drop to negative thresholds in certain regions, favoring the appearance of frost.
On the night of April 26 to 27, a sharp decrease in temperatures is expected, with values between 0 and 13 degrees Celsius, and in the depressions of eastern Transylvania, they may reach -2 degrees. Atmospheric instability will bring rain and intensifications of the wind, with gusts of 40–50 km/h in the southeast and northwest.
During the day, maximum temperatures will vary between 12 and 20 degrees, and the sky will be variable, with persistent cloudiness in the west and southwest. Authorities recommend caution in areas affected by strong winds and frost, protecting sensitive crops and avoiding prolonged exposure to low temperatures.
Cooling is not unusual for the end of April, but the amplitude of thermal variations underscores the instability of spring.
