Diana Buzoianu announces the advancement of the pilot program for planting trees on the beaches of Romania

Diana Buzoianu, the interim Minister of the Environment, declared on Thursday that she is in the final stages of obtaining the necessary approvals for a pilot program to plant trees on the beaches of Romania, similar to those in the past. The aim of this project is to improve the quality of tourism, considering that the recently expanded beaches have led to a lack of shaded areas.

Buzoianu emphasized that over the years, many forest belts have been destroyed, but she intends to restore them to provide tourists with a more pleasant vacation experience. The minister thanked the representatives of the National Forest Guard and the Dobrogea-Litoral Basin Administration for their support in implementing this project. Planting could begin in the coming months, following positive feedback from the public.
