Strong winds have affected several areas of the country, causing trees to fall, power lines to snap and traffic to come to a standstill.

Strong gusts of wind caused damage in several areas of the country, including falling trees blocking traffic, cable car stops to Bâlea Lac and Bâlea Cascades and the closure of the Black Sea ports. Strong winds have also caused problems in Gorj county, where the wind is blowing at 80mph and the temperature is -10 degrees.
