Remus Ștefureac, a guest on "In Your Face", discussed the possible results of the second round of the 2024 presidential elections, indicating that, based on polls, Călin Georgescu would have been the favorite. Georgescu has attracted a young, economically and emotionally frustrated electorate, especially from rural areas and small towns, where dissatisfaction with the political class is strong.

"I tell you on the data we had, measured until Friday, at 3 pm. I think we've talked about this as much as we've heard. The measurements started after the general election on Tuesday with a simple question: who do you vote for? We had the capacity to collect around 1 000 responses a day, so we are talking about a representative survey and it was going very fast. On Tuesday the ratio was about 56% Călin Georgescu versus 44% Mrs. Lasconi. On Wednesday it was 55% to 45%, on Thursday it was 54% to 46%, somehow they were getting close. On Friday until 3 p.m. it remained in this range, with a tendency to come closer, but not to reverse,'' sociologist Remus Ștefureac told the program "In Your Face".
