The Kremlin spokesman commented on the conduct of the vote, which was a rerun of a canceled 2024 election when Călin Georgescu was disqualified because of alleged Russian influence. Peskov said it was not surprising that European countries such as France intervene in other countries' elections, referring to the pressure exerted on supporters of the radical right.
