Călin Georgescu has more than 2 million votes and a commanding lead of 300,000 votes over the next candidate. For the second place, which guarantees a place in the second round of the presidential election, there is a very close battle between Marcel Ciolacu and Elena Lasconi.

With 14 precincts still to be counted, Elena Lasconi (USR) has overtaken Marcel Ciolacu (PSD) by 454 votes.
