Nicușor Dan said that Romania will not end up increasing VAT, stressing that the private sector is stronger than in 2008. He emphasized the need for the state to be more efficient in collecting VAT, which stands at 19%, but only 70% of this amount is collected. Dan promised that, if he becomes president, he will ensure that VAT will not increase, insisting on the importance of better management of expenditure and tax revenues.
