In the first 12 hours after polling stations opened in Romania, 7,586,981 Romanians voted. Of these, 4,231,119 were in urban areas and 3,355,862 in rural areas.

In comparison, in the first 12 hours of the 2019 presidential election, 8,212,964 voted in the first round (4,743,306 in urban areas and 3,469,658 in rural areas).

In the first 12 hours of the 2024 presidential election, 8,824,964 voted in the first round.100,379 Romanians (4,490,266 in urban areas and 3,610,113 in rural areas).

In the Diaspora, 895,500 Romanians voted by 7 p.m., compared to 726,931 in November 2024 or 615,889 in the first round of the 2019 presidential elections.
