The National Council of Students has sent a request to the future government, demanding the adoption of essential measures to improve the educational system in Romania.

In the context of the current political crisis, students emphasize that education should not be a secondary issue. Among the requested measures are the reduction of the effects of austerity measures, support for students from vulnerable backgrounds, the implementation of a functional school transport system, the expansion of the "Healthy Meal" program, and the reorganization of scholarship criteria.

Additionally, the Council requests investments in infrastructure and digitalization, the completion of the educational reform initiated by Law no. 198/2023, and the involvement of students in the decision-making process.

Student representatives assert that they should not be considered just numbers in a budget and that a coherent approach, based on the reality in classrooms, is necessary to ensure a better educational future.
