Teachers involved in the development of the "Romanian Language" curriculum for high school have accused that they were forced to sign confidentiality contracts, prohibiting them from disclosing details about its content.

Radu Székely, educational consultant and one of Daniel David's advisors, stated that the Minister of Education would have also been subjected to pressure to approve the final form of the curriculum. Critics argue that the new curriculum is too complex and does not stimulate reading among students, having content more suitable for advanced studies than for all students. Radu Székely emphasized that the lack of transparency in the drafting process will not lead to positive results in education.
