The Ministry of Education has published an order for the installation of audio-video cameras in schools, necessary for the prevention of violence and the protection of students, with parental consent

Order No. 3781/2025 establishes a clear framework for the use of audio-video cameras in educational establishments, aimed at preventing violence and ensuring safety. Surveillance is only allowed in certain premises and requires the consent of parents, pupils and staff. The recordings will be stored for 30 days and cannot be used to evaluate teachers. Minister Daniel David emphasizes the importance of safety in education and working with authorities to create a safer school environment.
