In a recent broadcast, the Minister of Education, Daniel David, stated that the teachers' unions have always had access to him, but that his ability to act is limited by existing legislation. Although he has tried to consider the unions' proposals, he believes that their approach is not effective, given that fiscal measures have saved salaries and scholarships until the end of the year. Daniel David emphasized that the unions should collaborate more with the ministry to flexibilize the situation, instead of opposing it.
