The Volkswagen Group, led by CEO Oliver Blume, has announced an investment of 160 billion euros (approximately 186 billion dollars) by 2030, despite the challenges faced in the markets of China and the United States. The investment budget has been reduced compared to previous allocations, from 165 billion euros for the period 2025-2029 and 180 billion euros for 2024-2028. Volkswagen, which includes the brands Porsche and Audi, has been affected by American tariffs and competition from China, which has impacted Porsche's profitability. The new investment plan will focus on Germany and Europe, targeting products, technologies, and infrastructure. Blume mentioned that a potential Audi plant in the USA depends on financial support from the American government. Although Porsche does not expect growth in China, localizing production could be a viable option in the future.
