The Transavia factory, located in Ciugud, Alba County, will become the largest pet food production unit in Romania and one of the most modern in Europe, with a record investment of 763 million lei (approximately 150 million euros), financed from its own funds. The company will produce a wide range of dry and wet food for dogs and cats, based on scientific recipes and quality ingredients.

The production capacity will allow for the feeding of over 11 million animals annually. Transavia, active in nearly 30 foreign markets, aims to become a top player in Europe, considering the growth of the local pet food market, valued at 1 billion euros. In 2024, the company reported a turnover of 1.12 billion lei and a net profit of 277.3 million lei, with an anticipated increase in EBITA in the coming years.
