TikTok has set up a branch office in Romania to manage government relations and business development.

TikTok Information Technologies Limited, part of parent company ByteDance in China, has opened a branch in Romania, named TikTok Romania, with a share capital of 5,000 lei. In May 2025, the company started recruiting a manager for government relations and public policy, a role designed to manage political and legislative risks, as well as to promote an environment conducive to innovation and business development.
