Although a decrease was observed compared to March 2022, when there were 506,600 unemployed, the unemployment rate remains high among young people (ages 15-24), reaching 28.2%. The unemployment rate was higher for women (6.3%) than for men (6%). Among adults (ages 25-74), the unemployment rate was estimated at 4.6%, with 71.2% of the total unemployed coming from this age group. The data highlights the ongoing challenges in the labor market in Romania.
