The Romanian lion is losing ground. The euro and the dollar have risen today.

Representatives of the National Bank of Romania published the exchange rate for Friday, May 15, showing that the Romanian leu has suffered a significant depreciation against the US dollar and the euro. Thus, the euro was quoted at 5.2088 lei, an increase compared to 5.2052 lei the previous day. The US dollar also recorded an increase, being quoted at 4.4801 lei, compared to 4.4455 lei previously. The Swiss franc continued to rise, reaching 5.6989 lei. In contrast, the price of gold has decreased significantly, by approximately 17.6 lei, reaching 654.1370 lei, the lowest level in the last 10 days.
