The Ministry of Finance launched on February 9, 2026, the second edition of the Treasury bonds program, offering Romanians the opportunity to save under favorable conditions.

The government bonds, with maturities of 1, 3, and 5 years, offer annual interest rates of 6.10%, 6.55%, and 7%. Investors can purchase the bonds between February 9 and March 6, 2026, through the Ghișeul.ro platform, online, at the State Treasury units, or through the Romanian Post. The income from these investments is tax-exempt, and the bonds are transferable and can be redeemed early. Individuals over 18 years old are eligible to subscribe. The funds obtained will be used to finance the budget deficit and refinance public debt. The Ministry has also prepared a guide for the rapid transfer of funds from the TEZAUR account to the personal bank account.
