The luxury industry, affected by a significant slowdown, seeks to regain its luster through a balance between tradition and innovation. The financial performances of major players, such as LVMH and Kering, have been impacted, and Burberry has reported losses. Reasons include the slowdown in the Chinese market and consumers being more cautious with spending.

After the Covid pandemic, demand increased, but it put pressure on the artisanal model, generating scandals related to outsourcing production. Prices have risen, but quality has not always improved. Analysts highlight the dilemma between exclusivity and high sales volumes. Luxury conglomerates are entering a phase of reorganization, shedding underperforming brands. The new Kering CEO, Luca de Meo, emphasizes the need to return to quality and craftsmanship, as brands adapt to the demand for personalized experiences.
