The Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, stated that the Government is in the stage of preparing the budget for 2026, in a favorable context due to the increase in confidence from rating agencies and the European Commission. The budget will be crucial for the absorption of funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), with approximately 10 billion euros allocated, along with 5 billion euros for cohesion funds and subsidies in agriculture. Nazare emphasized the importance of the PNRR and characterized the budget as one for economic recovery, with a consistent investment envelope. He also estimated an economic growth of approximately 1% for the next year, highlighting the need for fiscal prudence to avoid past budgetary imbalances. The Government will carefully assess revenues and expenditures, ensuring that necessary investments are included in the budget.
